Whether you want to cut your own tree, pick a live tree and have it cut for you, buy a tree already cut or buy a living tree you can plant, this page provides detailed listings of Portland and nearby areas of Maine's choose-and-cut Christmas tree farms, places to buy pre-cut (also called pre-harvested and fresh-cut) trees, stands, sleigh rides, hay rides and related winter events and fun. The farms are listed further down this page, so scroll down the page! I'm always looking for more to add, and to correct any inaccuracies or errors, so if you encounter any, please email me!If the name of the farm is blue with an underline; that's a link to their website. Click on it for the most current hours and information. NOTE: I cannot emphasize this enough: Please, ALWAYS call the farm or store BEFORE YOU GO to confirm their supply, their hours and whether they are allowing choose-and-cut or just precut trees. All three can change during the short Christmas season, due to weather, demand and the farmer's business conditions! Farms change hours, get sold, shut down or run out of trees, and I have no way of knowing, because I can't call or visit every farm every month, let alone every day. There are two houses selling trees.// From Topsham: Route 196 into Lisbon Falls. Make left onto Rt. 9. Follow Rt. 9 over bridge and turn right up the hill. Follow until it intersects with 136. Make right onto Rt.136. Make first left onto Davis Road. Just after the Durham Get & Go. Make third right onto Bowie Hill Road. We are on the left hand side just over the 2nd crest in the road. Once you've selected and cut your perfect tree, both you and your tree re-board the trailer for a hassle free trip back to your vehicle. Upon your return to the store, we welcome you to enjoy a cup of complimentary hot chocolate while getting warm beside our wood stove. We also have a heated restroom and many handmade Maine crafts.
