Tips:
- If the name of the farm is blue with an underline; that's a link to their website or Facebook page. Click on it for the most current hours and information.
- ALWAYS call the farm or store BEFORE YOU GO
- many farms have closed in the past year, and of course, we won't know until the season starts and we find they aren't open! Call to confirm their supply, their hours
and whether they have trees, are allowing choose-and-cut or just precut trees; and which attractions or winter activities are available.
All three can change during the short Christmas season, due to weather, demand and the farmer's business conditions! Farms get sold, shut down or run out of trees, and they don't all update me every day, let alone every year. For
more tips to make your trip fun and successful, click here
!
DON'T DRIVE OUT THERE IF YOU CAN'T REACH THEM (by phone, email or find current information on their website or Facebook page!
- And please tell the farmer you visit in Central Virginia (Charlottesville, Staunton, Albemarle area) that you found their farm
here! I need the farmers to realize that you found them here so that they will keep their information up to date!
And if you know of one I missed and want to add it or correct the
information, please let me know! There are affiliate links on this page. Read our disclosure policy

from the Friday after Thanksgiving and
weekends thereafter before Christmas Eve from 10 am to 4 pm; Weekdays-only
by appointment. Our farm includes 190 acres of rolling hills in the Virginia
Piedmont in Madison County. The farm sits at the base of two mountains, has
several miles of streams, 80 acres in hardwood forest and numerous species
of wildlife including (but not limited to): song birds, owls, wild turkeys,
red tailed hawks, deer, red foxes, blue heron, turtles and an occasional
sighting of a bald eagle. We have beautiful winter views of the Blue Ridge
Mountains from some of our fields. We are committed to the
conservation of the land, water, wildlife and air quality on our farm and
have worked with the Virginia Department of Forestry and others to develop
forest and land management plans that support that commitment. We do not use
"restricted" chemicals on our land or trees and try to use fertilizes in a
responsible manner. We are significantly increasing the number of new
Christmas tree seedlings that we plant each year in order to provide a
greater variety of trees for our customers and to support our desire to be
good stewards of the land. Come on out and experience the Christmas
season the old fashioned way. We have a Christmas shop where recorded music
is played. We provide free hot chocolate and cider, free tree shaking and
baling (for trees under 10 feet). If you pick a tree from the field, we

Christmas trees (to plant later), Christmas wreaths,
7620 Stubbs Bridge Rd, Spotsylvania, VA 22551. Phone: 540 854-7534. Email:
[email protected]. Open:
8am to 4pm,
starting the day after Thanksgiving until December 6th. We have mostly white and Scotch pines; some Leyland cypress and firs. Live Canaan firs available for
replanting. Fresh wreaths, swags and centerpieces available. We also offer made to order items. Note, due to limited availability of our trees, we are open
the entire two week period from 11/27-12/6, not just weekends! Please make an appointment on their website during the week of Thanksgiving. Be sure
and read our COVID-19 page for more details. Our choose-and-cut inventory is very small, at most, we have approx 35 trees available to cut. To help offset
the limited availability, we have purchased a few extra freshly-cut fraser firs to have for sale. Choose-and-cut trees must be at least 6ft tall in order to
be cut down. Large trees can always be trimmed, or cut again, if too big to fit in your home. If possible, please bring your own ties/strings, saws, and
gloves. We will have some ties available, but not a large supply. The saws that we do have will be cleaned after each use. And there will be no gloves
available to borrow. Because our farm is small, we ask that you please make an appointment prior to coming out to the farm. Appointments will be available
on our website beginning the week of Thanksgiving. Please bring a mask. We will still have the small store, but because it is so small, only 1 person
allowed inside the building at a time (or one adult with children). We do have contact-less credit card payments available. Please be patient, as sometimes
our internet service is not reliable. If you are able to bring cash, we will accept that also. Jones Tree Farm Facebook page.

. This year (2019) we have ball and burlap Blue Spruces, in addition to cut-your-own trees. We sell cut-your-own
blue spruces and white pines. You are welcome to explore our large and varied selection. This year, the best
selection of blue spruces can be found in our back field, accessed by driving across the stream behind the barn.
You'll find some great-looking full trees up to 14 feet in height back here, a great value at $80 per tree. We also
have three 2-acre fields of spruce and four 1-acre fields of pines on the front of the property. Selecting and
cutting your family Christmas tree is a memorable experience and treasured tradition for many of our customers. You
may visit to reserve your tree with ribbon we can provide.Don't miss the beautiful trees in the back field, or our
Vietnam-era helicopter, with Santa waving as you drive in on U.S. 17. You can cut your own Christmas tree during
this time, and we will also have our Mountain Slides, hay barn swings and other popular farm activities (but no
hayrides) available. This is a nice winter outing. We will be charging our standard farm admission of $5 per person
(children 2 years old and younger free). We sell cut-your-own blue spruces in 2019 for $95 per tree. We currently
have trees up to 8 feet tall. Price includes tax, use of a saw, baling and twine. We provide saws, twine, and baling
at no extra charge. We recommend that you bring your own shovel and gloves. Dogs on leash are welcome on our farm.
