Tips:

• If the name of the farm is blue with an underline; that's a link to their website or Facebook page. Click on it for the most current hours and information.
• ALWAYS call the farm or store BEFORE YOU GO - many farms have closed in the past year, and of course, we won't know until the season starts and we find they aren't open! Call to confirm their supply, their hours and whether they have trees, are allowing choose-and-cut or just precut trees; and which attractions or winter activities are available. All three can change during the short Christmas season, due to weather, demand and the farmer's business conditions! Farms get sold, shut down or run out of trees, and they don't all update me every day, let alone every year. For more tips to make your trip fun and successful, click here !

Directions: Out of Brewer: Route 9 East(Airline Road)approximately 23 miles. Go past the Amherst general store. Approximately 300 yards. Turn right onto Route 181. Go 1/10 of a mile and farm is on the left. Just look for the signs. From Ellsworth Falls: (approximately 23 miles) Route 180 to Otis. Bare right on to Route 181. Look for the 4X8 sign on the right. Choose your perfect tree in our field or wander down through the woods and pick your beautifully shaped tree roadside. Fresh, hand-pruned Christmas trees. Beautifully sheared and fertilized. Some extra large trees (10-feet to 15-feet) available. Wholesale prices, baled. Wreaths also sold. Call early to reserve!!! Consistent Superior Quality - That's our Commitment to you!!! Open: Wednesday thru Sunday from 9 am to 6 pm, closed Monday and Tuesday this year. On the banks of the scenic Penobscot River, we have 10 acres of trees for your selection. Free hot chocolate or cider for all! Free tree netting for your convenience!

During the Christmas seasons for the past half century, Mingo's has never been late with a single order. They continue to serve some of their first customers, a half century later.
