Tips:

• If the name of the farm is blue with an underline; that's a link to their website or Facebook page. Click on it for the most current hours and information.
• ALWAYS call the farm or store BEFORE YOU GO - many farms have closed in the past year, and of course, we won't know until the season starts and we find they aren't open! Call to confirm their supply, their hours and whether they have trees, are allowing choose-and-cut or just precut trees; and which attractions or winter activities are available. All three can change during the short Christmas season, due to weather, demand and the farmer's business conditions! Farms get sold, shut down or run out of trees, and they don't all update me every day, let alone every year. For more tips to make your trip fun and successful, click here !

Alpine County

Bring a picnic lunch and enjoy our newly renovated picnic grounds, complete with a large firepit, picnic tables, and benches. Wander the lush sun-dappled trails and graded pathways around the 50-acre farm in search of that perfect Christmas tree. Keep warm while you're tree-hunting with our complimentary hot chocolate or coffee. We also have free coloring books for the kids, and candy canes for everyone! Our huge 50-acre chosse and cut Christmas Tree Farm offers the largest and most unusual variety of trees in the Foothills, including Silver Tip, Blue Spruce, Douglas Fir, Sugar Pine, White Fir, Red Fir, and Cedar.

Directions: 1 and 1/2 miles south of Twain Harte on Tuolumne City Road. Click here for a map. Inquire about weddings and event sites. You select a possible tree; a worker measures it and shows you where it would be cut. If you approve, the tree is cut for you, the worker gives you a tag, you take the tag to the office to pay for the tree, and we haul the tree back to the pick-up point.
